Mozu run study · Round 2 · 3 October 2026

Three directions. One running rhythm.

Compare the current 221k run with relaxed arms, a steadier bent elbow, and a compact elbow pump. All four share the same leg, body, head and tail motion.

40 native poses per cycle, played at 60 fps. Each panel shows a crop of the same decoded video frame, so comparisons stay synchronized. No temporal interpolation. Original 480px videos are linked above.

What each direction explores

A2 · Relaxed

A small bend softens A’s nearly straight arm. Compare its quiet front silhouette with the running style from the side.

D2 · Steady bend

The outward angle drops from D’s 16° to 12°. Check whether the forearm stays clear while the stance of the arms becomes narrower.

N3 · Compact

The shoulder stays at 221k’s 6° abduction. The elbow opens more on the backward swing than N2, while keeping its smaller forward bend and curl.

Minima span both arms and all frames. Area jumps exceed 20% of rest area between adjacent frames, including the loop seam. These are diagnostics, not taste scores.

Scope and interpretation

Candidates are not adopted. The original failed checks are retained. V1 includes a forward-hand-over-belly pose requirement; its failure alone does not prove collision. V7 counts visible arm/head triangle intersection pairs, not pixels. Existing paw–tail overlap remains unresolved. Constant-channel peak tests may still fail for a steady elbow/curl. See the raw data for all retained verdicts.

Earlier compact study: N2

N2 failed the rear-arm occlusion and silhouette connectivity checks. Its full comparison and measurements are preserved here.
